I am so happy to live right here on Nahant with my husband, two children, and three cats! I moved here from Connecticut in the summer of 2012. I grew up in a Connecticut seaside community and lived my whole life in the Nutmeg State until moving to this wonderful Massachusettes seaside community. In my spare time I like to work on my own Art, read, take long walks, look at the night sky and sketch what I see. I also build telescopes, travel, and cook. I am re-learning how to knit.
I went to school in New York City, years ago, to earn my BFA from Parsons School of Design, and my MA in Art Education from Columbia University's Teacher's College. I did my student teaching in New York City. I always thought of myself as a New York City person but I have fallen in love with Boston! My husband, Bill, is a Professor at Northeastern University. His lab is at the Marine Science Center. Bill goes to Antarctica every spring to study the fishes that live in the sub-freezing waters down there. My son, John, is 23, and he is a Music Teacher at an elementary school in North Carolina. My daughter, Katie, is 19, and is in her Sophmore year at Northeastern, majoring in Biology. My cats names are Friskie, and Sputnik. Sputnik is four years old. Friskie is 18 years old and she moved here from Connecticut with me. They love it here too, and have even made friends with the skunks! I'll see you at the beach! |
